VW Kombi Lowlight and Splitty Rear Brake Wheel Cylinder

If you are noticing signs of poor braking on your Splitty or early Baywindow Kombi, such as a sloppy brake pedal, one of the first things to check would be your rear wheel cylinders. We replace these on all of our VW restoration projects. If you are restoring a Kombi and it has been off the road for more than a year, it's a good idea to replace your rear wheel cylinders. If you don't and these start leaking they will firstly start contaminating your brake shoes and drums.

These are good quality reproduction wheel cylinders. Sold individually, you will require one per side or two per vehicle. We always recommend replacing brake components in pairs as replacing one side will only put pressure on the other which is more than likely close to failing anyway.
