Description
This is another one of the service items that we quite often see neglected. If the foam engine bay seal on your VW Kombi is not in tip top shape there is a good chance it won't be sealing properly. A poor seal will mean hot air will creep into the engine bay from the exhaust and heater boxes.
This part is used to seal between the engine tinware and the body and can decay over time from heat and contaminants like fuel and oil. We recommend replacing this seal every year or so. It's cheap insurance against an overheating engine
