The accelerator cable is a common item which fails. First it starts fraying and stretching and eventually it'll just break, leaving you stranded.
This accelerator cable is 2985mm long and is designed to fit right hand drive automatic baywindow Kombis from 1976 to 1979 with a type 4 (1700-2L) engine and twin carburettors. This will not fit manual Kombis or Kombis with and upright engine.
