Description
Engine bay surround seal for classic air-cooled Volkswagen models. This seal fits between the body and the engine cooling tin, helping separate the hot air beneath the engine from the cooler air drawn into the engine bay.
A missing, perished, or poorly fitted engine bay seal can allow hot air to recirculate through the cooling fan, which may contribute to higher running temperatures. Best replaced when the engine is removed, as it fits into the metal channel around the engine compartment opening.
