This is the oil strainer gasket kit for all type 1 upright motors.
From the factory, the original Type 1 motor as fitted to Beetles and Kombis did not have an external oil filter. The oil strainer at the base of the motor should be removed, checked for debris and cleaned at every oil change. Replacing the gasket and O-rings is essential to prevent oil leaks.
This gasket strainer kit is for all VW Kombis and Beetles fitted with a type 1 engine. Generally speaking this is all splitscreen Kombis, all Beetles, all early baywindow Kombis from 1968 to 1971 and some baywindow Kombis from 1972 to 1979.
