Lucy has been in the Righteous Kombis family for awhile now.
After sitting under a tree for many years, neglected, Lucy was purchased by one of our customers who gave us the opportunity to bring it back to life for him.
Our customer ended up changing his mind and instead put his love into a newly found 65 Split named Clara.
Our Parts Manager Codie had always wanted a Beetle since a little girl and she thought it was the perfect Bug for her. Lucy has had an extensive amount of mechanical work done in the past 6 months and little things to make her look loved again.
This included a new fuel system, a new clutch, as well as electrical work and many other things that if we listed we would be here all day!
The exterior of this beautiful Bug is in great condition with very minimal rust.
Lucy was originally yellow before being resprayed in the beautiful colour diamond blue, because of this Lucy's name was discovered from the iconic song from around the same era of when Lucy was made the Beetles ''Lucy in the sky of diamonds'' The new owner of Lucy continues to keep her name.
The interior in our opinion it is way comforter than a Kombi! The interior being all black pops in contrast with the blue exterior giving it a classic and clean look.
Lucy has made her new home down in the county town of Bathurst, NSW. Codie was very happy with the new owner as she was also a lady with the same love for these Beetles.
Lucy has been a special project and we definitely miss her. She is a great reliable little bug and has only but all good vibes.
