The restoration on Floyd has been an extensive process. We went above and beyond bringing this one to life for the customer.
Floyd started as a 1975 Wattle Kombi Transporter. The extensive shopping list from the customer included: Subaru engine with 5 speed transmission, heated front seats, power steering, retractable ragtop cloth sunroof, secondary battery installation with inverter and DC to DC converter, Kustom Kombi Rock-n-Roll bed, LCD stereo with apple car play, bluetooth and reverse camera and insulation to the entire vehicle
Along with all the modifications we still had all the rust work, body work and paint to contend with. Overall this was a pretty solid bus to begin with but like all 40+ year old cars, the more you go digging the more you find and we weren't going to leave anything unattended so the Kombi was completely stripped.
It's been a long journey for Floyd but he's on the home stretch now and is about ready to go out the door.
