Here we have another beautiful T1 split screen Kombi in the shop for a bunch of jobs. Having been restored around 10 years ago, it's still looking the part but definitely time for a little bit of love.
As you can see there is definitely some rust coming out again that needs attending to and as we always say, the best time to repair your rust is right now. Following the rust repairs we have some nice new pop out windows to fit.
We have also just fitted a new cyclops light to the front. These are very unique and we have fitted a custom LED unit with bluetooth control. This is not the only small modification.
There are a lot of other little odd specialty jobs to do also, as there always is with a near 60 year old bus. Fiddly things ranging from wiring to mechanical to roofrack restoration. We find it's always these little jobs that take time and people usually don't have the time to do or skill to do it themselves. It can also be very difficult to find someone happy to do them.
We are lucky in this job that no two days are the same. Restoring a Kombi can be very time consuming but very rewarding when you see the finished product.
